No it can be more now, you can have 4 players plus their heroes. Which is why its totally screwed up right now. I cant see ANET having planned this one however so it should be sorted out soon hopefully.

Heros cant come to AB, but still having problem when invited people into party 4 . It said party merged is too large 3/4. O.o it count my hero as 1 person even it doesnt show in party. @_@
And why they cange back to 4 party? Random 12 player in same party was much fun >.< Why Anet allow us play 12 party then took away into 4? (ยด-`)
Why put something fun then took it away?
This make sad =.=

Anet did it because it would have been too laggy. And I know ur gonna say "but they do that in Aspenwood!" but aspenwood is a FAR smaller and less detailed map than any of the arenas.

ummm...you know those guys that pop outta the shrines when you cap one and fight for you? i dont see anyone bitching about them being NPCs. wheres your outcry of lack of "randomness". truth is on any given team 4 of the 12 people are fuc|<tards. at least heros will go where you tell them and attack a called target. i also think heros is the only thing that will be keeping alliance battles alive. it should also make less waiting in between battles. with heros you dont know what skills they are gonna use so you have the same basic element of suprise as you would with a human player.

A valid point Mary. The thing about the NPC's is that both sides has them and they stay at one point. They dont follow you around and fight with you. They stay at their point and defend it. If they were not in AB then it would be incrediblyl easy to take back command points. They were put in there to add to the degree of difficulty of capping command points. That is you dont see anyone bitching about the NPCs. The NPC's were NOT added to follow you around and kill people.
Heroes are the only thing keeping AB alive? Their are plenty of people in AB. In aspenwood and the jade quarry i could see that but not in AB. There are usually plenty of people which causes the long wait. Not enough servers to run all the people that want to AB.

People still have to setup the builds, and micro manage them to an extent. Really, that "random element" that you see in most players is their downfall. You're probably getting a better game out of players controlling heroes... Some players...

I haven't been able to play recently, but I was a little worried when I read that people have been taking Heros with them into AB. You couldn't possibly imagine my happiness when I found out heros weren't allowed into the AB anymore..

actaully they do follow you around, click and talk to any "elite" npc in ab and they will follow you and fight with you until their shrine is taking over by another faction.
and can also pull the monks to heal you and they will also follow you when you are taking damage.
You can also have more then one elite npc follow you at a time.

That isnt really the point. true you can have elite npcs following you. but u cant order them to attack as specifically as you can make a hero do. they are after all npcs. you cant even ask them to wait or raundevous to a certain point like henchies.
heroes does not make waiting time shorter. it depends on the server's capacity to run a certain number of games at a time.
and i kinda like to think of we as players are just soldiers on the battlefields...not generals or commanders. hero battles is the place to be if you want to act superior...lol well its just my mindset i guess...

This just ruins AB for the people who bought Factions for it. I dont have Nightfall yet, but will soon get it. This just eliminates me from playing any AB at all.
